Trip down memory lane

I'm currently in Manchester... helping lil sis to settle in her uni accommodation. Feels weird to be back in a campus hall after so many many years! Small wardrobe space and tiny shower cubicle but uni was where I had the most fun and met so many wonderful people. Wouldn't mind going back to the 'fun' part of uni: party in the Student Union to the beat of RnB music hahaha :) But guess I'm too old for that now sigh... will probably end up with a backache! I better stick to lounge bars, sipping wine and light cocktails. Leave the fun part for lil sis.... my party days are soooo over :(

Charlie Chops

Went to Charlie Chops buffet yesterday to celebrate lil sis birthday. We had so much food! Think we tasted almost everything on the buffet menu :P Was a great night. Back home we watched the men US Open final sipping litres of hot green tea to digest all the food hahahaha. Such a great match... have to admit Novak was a real machine but I still love Rafa :P

Anyway here are some pics of the outfit I wore last night. Unintentionally I'm almost dressed from head to toe in Primark. I've been into full skirts lately and got this one on sale at only 3 gbp! I've also invested in some cool head scarfs.. they're really useful when I really dunno what to do with my hair nowadays.

Colourful romper

Saw this colourful romper in the sale section in Primark and immediately grabbed it. Only 5gbp... couldn't resist hehe! I love how the floral print makes it very retro and the bold colours really make it stand out. Totally a good bargain :) Apologies if I've been wearing this oversized cardigan a lot lately but that's the only winter item I have left. I packed all my winter clothes to pass on to my lil sis, who just came to study here in UK, and since I'm moving to Malaysia, I definitely won't be needing them. Red Wine

I absolutely heart Primark for bringing in these skinny jeans in red wine. These jeans are really worth their 12 gbp I paid for... they're extremely comfy and the colour doesn't really fade after washing :) The only downside is that they're quite long on me.... I'm only 5'1! Was thinking of getting them shortened but on second thought, I actually don't mind them rolled up.

Today brought lil sis to Portobello Market in Notting Hill. We had so much fun rummaging through all the vintage jewellery stalls. Think I got her hooked to vintage shopping lol. We walked all the way till the end of the market and found quite a few stalls selling cool and cheap clip on earrings... we went crazy trying all of them on! Obviously we brought back home quite a few of them hahahaha :)

Not an outfit post today!!! Felt like doing something different on this blog and decided to share with you some of my recent buys. I realised that I bought a lot of summer clothes. Unfortunately will have to wait till I'm back in Malaysia to wear them. It's been getting really cold lately in UK, no more sunshine :( Looks like winter is here already! Sigh...

1. I love finger candies... especially knuckle rings and semi precious stone ones! Can't have too many rings :)

2. Super cool invention: the bun shaper. Got the smaller one from the girls section in Primark... they're perfect for my fine asian hair!

3. Doesn't hurt to buy some make-up? I'm not really a make-up person but it was buy 3 for 2 with free brush from Superdrug!!! How could I resist this offer lol.

4. Got this amazing maxi bright red orange skirt from Primark. They're selling similar ones in River Island for double the price... VIVA Primark! Got these tops on sale from H&M and Asos :) Looks like I have a crush on floral prints hahahaha.

5. Went to every single H&M store along Oxford Street to find these cute purple shorts in size 6 but to no avail- only huge sizes left on the racks. Finally got my size in H&M Harrow! The two other blue shorts were  on sale on Asos with extra 10% off :) Who doesn't love extra discount on discounted items?!?! Heart Asos <3
