Sunday Outfitting

First of all, Happy belated Chinese New Year everyone... with all the dinners and gambling going on, hardly had time to write a proper post.

Remember my previous post about the Beso Beso inspired DIY bracelets I wanted to make??? Well finally got around to making and wearing them to a Sunday lunch with my fiance's friends. I'm pretty happy with the results :) I made a bunch of them in all sorts of coloured gemstones so that I can mix and match with all my daily outfits. They're very easy to make and definitely cost you less than the real Beso Beso arm candies.

DIY Projects

Whenever I'm bored and have loads of free time, I turn into a DIY junkie! Saw these Beso Beso arm candies and Aurelie Bidermann Do Brazil woven bracelets on google images and instantly saved the pictures so that I can DIY them later. I have already bought all my supplies... and as you can guess, tomorrow is going be a fun day spent at home :) I can't wait to show you the end results in my next post, which will probably be when I get back to Malaysia and have my photographer again lol ;)

Oh Asos!

Ever since I've left UK last October, I've kinda stopped shopping on ASOS, which I used to browse for hours almost every single day! Guess I tried to con myself into thinking that:

1. ASOS doesn't do international shipping or shipping will be too expensive (total lie since ASOS offers FREE shipping worldwide hahaha),

2. I have too many clothes and shoes, which was a real headache to pack and bring over to Malaysia, and

3. I should start saving money and quoting from my dad: 'get my priorities right' (he complains I have too many shoes).

Anyway the point is I've missed ASOS so much that with the 70% off sale going on right now and an extra 10% discount on sale items, I couldn't resist and within a few clicks, my bank account went down by a few $$ with a big smile on my face. Told my fiance: it's my chinese new year presents (as if CNY= Christmas hahaha).

So now I can't wait for all these lovely items below to arrive. ASOS estimated the date of delivery to be on or before 26 January. I'm crossing fingers all goes smoothly since it's my first time trying their international shipping!

A sweet escape

These pictures were taken during our catamaran trips in the north and south east of Mauritius. Being a local, I always take it for granted that Mauritius has very nice beaches and lagoons. Guess it takes 5 years of studying abroad in the cold British weather to realise that I come from a paradise island hehe.

This holiday trip was indeed a sweet escape! Can't wait for our next trip back to Mauritius =)

These pics were taken at Intercontinental Hotel. Rented a room for one night to celebrate my friend's birthday. We got the ground floor room, which opens up onto the garden and beach area =) I managed to catch this nice view of the sunset from our room. The hotel gifted us this nice blue sarong, which I used to compliment my casual outfit.

Coloured Earth

My fiance and friend just left... they're going back to Malaysia/Singapore. Had an amazing 2.5 weeks of pure fun and laughter with them. Suddenly missing their company... my house so quiet without these two around :( Can't wait to join my fiance in about 2 weeks when I'll be moving for good to Malaysia.

Anyway, these pictures were taken while we were visiting the southern part of the island. Brought my fiance and my friend to the famous seven coloured earth of Chamarel. We also got to see our cute friend, the giant tortoise. We were blessed with excellent weather on that day since weather forecast predicted rain during the whole week!!!
