During our holiday to Mauritius, we went to visit Bois Cheri Tea Factory and had an amazing lunch there. The restaurant is located on a hilltop by a beautiful lake, where you can do kayaking. The view from up there is simply breathtaking! The food was also delicious. The chef also served us some toasted bread with an unusual topping consisting of blended tea leaves cooked with mint, garlic and some other herbs! I would have never imagined that tea leaves can actually be eaten but it tasted really good. The ice tea is also really nice and refreshing as it is freshly made from their own Bois Cheri tea leaves. It had a slightly thicker consistency than the usual diluted bottled iced tea sold in supermarkets. So if you happen to visit Mauritius, I would highly recommend a trip to Bois Cheri Tea Factory :)
